Because we offer both design and general contracting services, your project will be seamlessly guided from inception through completion. Our design process starts with an initial meeting to discuss an overview of your objectives.
Clients are encouraged to bring images that illustrate their ideas. We provide a design questionnaire to learn more about living patterns, desired features and building materials. Prior to the next meeting, we visit the site to get a sense of the topography, views, vegetation and surroundings.
Based on this information, co-owner Tom Wuelpern generates a set of rough floor plans to explore home and site relationships. With client feedback, he sketches a series of floor plans for consideration. The process continues until a preferred floor plan emerges.
At this stage, we do a preliminary estimate to make certain the plans and the budget are aligned. If the estimate exceeds the budget, we work with clients to re-design the floor plan and suggest alternatives to bring the project in budget. Using this approach, we ensure we can meet our clients’ expectations before they invest in a full set of plans.
When the floor plan is finalized we develop working drawings that can be submitted for permitting and construction lending. We have built in Pima, Pinal, Santa Cruz, Cochise and Maricopa counties and municipalities throughout the region, so are experienced in guiding plans through permitting throughout Southern Arizona. We also provide necessary documentation to clients’ lenders and subdivision design review boards.
Throughout the construction process, we maintain direct communication with our clients to keep them appraised of upcoming construction phases and input we require from them. Our experienced team and subcontractors meticulously build the house to the highest standard. Our goal is to reduce the stress and enhance the enjoyment of the building process for our clients.
