In May, we completed construction of a visionary architectural sculpture by Paris-based architect David Telerman. Working with Zona Decorative Concrete & Construction, LLC. we were able to bring this incomparable work into the physical realm. Located in the desert valley of Cochise County, the concrete structure consists of an inverted pyramid staircase embedded into the earth leading to a square room in the center. Concrete arm or pathways extend out from the roof of the room. The pyramid staircase measures 50′ square by 10′ deep. Tom Wuelpern’s stunning black and white photographs present a ground level view of the sculpture’s line and form, accentuated by the shadows cast by the Arizona sun, while Jeff Scheffman’s drone images show a hawk’s eye perspective. Check them out on our rammed earth wall gallery page.
